Fire And Ice

Fire And Ice (Paul Black, 2011) is a tall bearded iris reaching 40" (102 cm), introduced by Mid-America Garden. This early to late season bloomer features elegant cold white standards with a hint of palest orchid in the lower half, complemented by matching cold white style arms and falls. The falls are accented with greenish textured veins and tan veining in the throat, while the beards are white-based with vivid red-orange tips and a slight hook at the end. Notably, Fire And Ice offers a pronounced sweet fragrance. Bred from Cloud Berry x Bliss Bomb, it has earned both an Honorable Mention (2014) and an Award of Merit (2018) from the American Iris Society. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm.
