Figure Head

Figure Head (Chet Tompkins, 1996) is a commanding tall bearded iris that delivers a dramatic, gallery-worthy presence in the garden. Reaching 38" (97 cm) and blooming early to late, this cultivar captivates with oxblood standards and style arms, contrasted by broad, ruffled falls of ivory cream washed with custard at the center and finished with a bold oxblood border. Dull yellow beards add a subtle accent to its painterly, high-contrast design. With a pedigree featuring Raspberry Fudge, Queen In Calico, Paprika Fonos, and Raging Tiger, Figure Head is a collector-grade, field-stopping showpiece—perfect for those seeking a memorable, statement-making addition to their landscape. Introduced by Fleur de Lis in 1996. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm. Attributes: Ruffled, Speckled
