Feared Weird

Feared Weird (Tom Burseen, 2022) is a tall bearded iris reaching 35" (89 cm) with a very early bloom season. This unique variety features grey standards and style arms washed with amethyst violet (RHS 84B), while the falls display a grey base overlaid with an imperial purple (RHS 78A) luminata wash and sea lavender-violet (RHS 85D) washed edges. The beards are a vibrant marigold orange (RHS 28B) in the throat and middle, transitioning to champagne (RHS 164D) at the ends. Feared Weird is notable for its huge, wide, and round blooms with ruffled and laced edges, and a slight musky fragrance.
