Dynamite (Schreiner, 1997) is a tall bearded iris reaching 37" (94 cm) with a vibrant cardinal red (RHS 53A) self and bold yellow beards. Introduced by Schreiner in 1997, this midseason bloomer is the result of a cross between War Chief and an unknown 1984 seedling. Recognized for its exceptional garden performance, Dynamite received an Honorable Mention in 1999 and an Award of Merit in 2002. This variety is offered at Amethyst Creek Farm.
