Doxie Doodles

Doxie Doodles (Paul Black, 2011) is a charming SDB iris reaching 13" (33 cm) and blooming midseason to late. This variety features mid yellow standards with a maroon plicata rim, intricate stitching, and scattered maroon dots, complemented by a greenish midrib stitched in plum. The style arms are deep maroon with mid lilac edges, while the falls display a light greenish yellow hue, darker yellow hafts, and a greenish white patch around the beard. Dark brown-maroon plicata lines and random veining add further detail. The beards are white-based with maroon-brown tips, and the bloom is noted for its pronounced sweet fragrance. Bred from 'Chart' X 'Kaching', Doxie Doodles was introduced by Mid America in 2012 and received an Honorable Mention in 2014. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm.
