Don't Fix It

Don’t Fix It (Paul Black, 2018) is a remarkable SDB iris that commands attention with its painterly, broken color patterning and dynamic presence. Reaching 13" (33 cm) in height and blooming midseason to late, this cultivar features light lavender standards streaked with lighter lavender and dramatic rose accents, complemented by tan-edged style arms. The falls showcase a white haft with bold dark red-plum rays, a red-grape wash over mid lavender, and irregular lavender streaks, all punctuated by random red-grape broken color flashes. The beard transitions from white-based hairs to root beer and lilac tones, adding further visual intrigue. A slight musky fragrance enhances its appeal. With its pedigree-worthy lineage and gallery-worthy coloration, Don’t Fix It is a true garden showpiece for collectors and enthusiasts alike. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm.
