Diversion

Diversion (Thomas Johnson, 2002) is a tall bearded iris reaching 35" (89 cm) and blooming in midseason. This variety features diamond-dusted slate violet standards, gold-edged style arms, and falls with a bluish cast surrounding vibrant orange beards, accented by tan orange at the tips. Notably, Diversion offers a pronounced spicy fragrance. Bred from a distinguished lineage—(Sultry Mood x Conjuration) crossed with (Sea Quest x Proud Tradition)—it was introduced by Mid-America Gardens and received an Honorable Mention from the American Iris Society in 2007.
