Diabolique (Schreiner, 1997) is a tall bearded iris reaching 38" (97 cm), blooming in the late midseason. This cultivar features heavily ruffled, rich claret purple (RHS 77A) blooms with blue-purple beards and a slight fragrance. Bred from a complex lineage including Rosette Wine and Thriller siblings, Diabolique has received multiple accolades, including the Walther Cup, Premio Firenze, Award of Merit, and the Wister Medal.
