Desert Trails

Desert Trails (Keith Keppel, 2016) is a remarkable tall bearded iris that commands attention with its painterly blend of color and refined form. Reaching 36" (91 cm) and blooming in the late midseason, this cultivar features colonial buff standards that transition to a lighter marguerite yellow center, delicately dotted with pale dove grey. The quince yellow style arm crests add a luminous accent, while the falls showcase a citron yellow ground with flashes of white at the hafts, dramatically edged and hafted in dark greyed purple. A bronzed yellow beard completes the look. Sibling to Barbados, Desert Trails is a collector-grade, exhibition-ready iris with a bold, graphic presence—perfect for making a statement in any garden.
