Desert Sonata

Desert Sonata is a tall bearded iris introduced by Francelle Edwards in 2009. This elegant variety reaches 38" (97 cm) and blooms early to midseason. Its shell pink standards are accented with a narrow gold edge, while the style arms are pink with gold crests and edges. The falls display a creamy base that blends outward to a pink-gold rim, highlighted by gold hafts and vibrant orange beards. Desert Sonata offers a slight sweet fragrance and is a cross between Barbara My Love and Pink Champagne. Recognized with an Honorable Mention by the Tall Bearded Iris Society in 2013.
