Desert Legacy

Desert Legacy (Margie Valenzuela, 2012) is a reblooming bearded iris reaching 25-26" in height, notable for its extended bloom period and subtle fragrance. This late midseason variety features mulberry pink standards with mulberry pink-violet midribs and delicate white edging. The style arms display a blend of yellow, tan, and orange tones. Falls are a deeper mulberry, accented by white around the beards, mulberry plicata markings, pale yellow shading, and fine white edges. Bright yellow beards complete the look. Desert Legacy is a reliable rebloomer, flowering for up to three months, and has demonstrated rebloom performance in Arizona, California, and Texas (USDA Zones 8, 9).
