Desert Echo

Desert Echo is a tall bearded iris introduced by Duane Meek in 1980, offered here from Amethyst Creek Farm. This award-winning variety reaches 35" (89 cm) and blooms in the late midseason. Its deep butter yellow standards contrast beautifully with falls of chrome green, accented by plicata markings radiating from a vivid orange beard and a distinct violet area around the beard. The blooms are attractively ruffled, adding texture and elegance to the garden. Desert Echo is a seedling of Pencil Sketch X Dixie Desert and received an Honorable Mention from the American Iris Society in 1982.
