Deeper Meaning

Deeper Meaning (Thomas Johnson, 2017) is a tall bearded iris reaching 30" (76 cm) and blooming early to midseason. This variety features light peach to buff standards with a subtle violet wash along the midrib, complemented by buff-peach style arms. The falls are a rich, deep purple-black edged with a delicate lavender rim, while the beards are tangerine in the throat, transitioning to violet-tipped hairs. Deeper Meaning offers a slight fragrance and is the result of a cross between Blyth seedling S273-A (Devil’s Intent pod parent) and Blyth seedling T47 (Rite of Passage x Florentine Silk).
