Darkling

‘Darkling’ (Monty Byers, 1988) is a charming Standard Dwarf Bearded iris reaching 13" (33 cm) in height. This early to late season bloomer is notable for its reliable reblooming habit, with performance reported in multiple states and USDA Zones 5–9. ‘Darkling’ features deep violet standards and even richer, velvety violet falls, accented by a vivid blue beard. Bred from ‘Third Charm’ x ‘Jewel Baby’, this variety brings dramatic color and repeat blooms to the garden. Introduced by Moonshine Gardens in 1989. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm.
