Dancing Thunder

Dancing Thunder (Jim Hedgecock, 2003) is a commanding tall bearded iris that electrifies the midseason garden with its bold, high-contrast color play. Towering at 36" (91 cm), this remarkable cultivar features dark purple standards and even deeper falls, each edged in a lighter hue and adorned with blue striations near the beard and a dramatic dark purple center streak. The ruffled blooms are accented by rich, dark purple beards and release a slight sweet fragrance, adding a refined sensory touch. With its pedigree from 'Sky Hooks', 'Swazi Princess', 'Superstition', and 'Soul Music', Dancing Thunder is a garden-showpiece and a collector-grade addition, perfect for those seeking a vibrant, statement-making iris with undeniable presence. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm.
