Covert Caper

Covert Caper (Keith Keppel, 2022) is a remarkable tall bearded iris that commands attention with its gallery-worthy color contrast and refined patterning. Reaching 35" in height and blooming midseason to late, this cultivar features warm white standards subtly shaded to pale blue at the edges, accented by a pale blue midrib and a delicate putty-toned rim. The style arms are elegantly striated in pinard yellow and veronica violet, adding a painterly touch. Falls are warm white, boldly framed by a dramatic 3/8" black-purple edge and haft markings, with fine elderberry speckles lending extra visual intrigue. Spanish gold beards complete the look, making Covert Caper a true centerpiece for any garden. Bred from a distinguished lineage by renowned hybridizer Keith Keppel, this iris is a collector-grade addition for those seeking a show garden quality bloom with undeniable presence.
