Copper Mites

Copper Mites (Peter McGrath, 2022) is a remarkable arilbred iris that commands attention with its vivid, painterly color blend and dynamic presence in the garden. This 22" early to midseason bloomer features violet-infused copper standards with intricate violet veining, luminous orange-copper style arms, and rich copper falls highlighted by an orange-gold infusion and a bold mahogany signal. The beards are based white with yellow tips, adding a refined touch, while a slight spicy fragrance enhances its appeal. With its pedigree from Shockey seedling 92-112, a sibling to 'Desert Attire' crossed with 'Babylonian Fires', Copper Mites is a collector-grade, exhibition-worthy addition for any iris enthusiast seeking a showpiece with both visual impact and heritage quality. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm. Attributes: Fragrant, Veining
