Cookie Monster

Cookie Monster (Donald Spoon, 2013) is a memorable 12" Standard Dwarf Bearded iris that brings a gallery-worthy presence to the late midseason garden. Its sculptural, ruffled blooms showcase painterly standards in greyed green (RHS 191 B/C) with luminous violet blue (93B) edges, while the style arms feature a violet blue midrib and crest edged in deep violet (84A). The falls display a sophisticated interplay of greyed green and violet blue, anchored by bold, darker violet-blue (93A) beards tipped bronze in the throat. A slight spicy fragrance adds to its refined appeal. Bred from Muppet Madness X seedling 2001-27A (Rainbow Rim x Acey Deucey) and introduced by Winterberry in 2013, Cookie Monster earned an AIS Honorable Mention in 2016. This cultivar is a true collector-grade showpiece—perfect for those seeking a dynamic, conversation-starting centerpiece with pedigree-worthy color and form. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm.
