Clown Act (Elizabeth Rieniets, 2016) is a remarkable SDB iris that commands attention with its painterly blend of plum and buff tones. This midseason to late bloomer stands at 8" (20 cm), featuring tight, ruffled standards in rich plum over a buff base, with a dramatic plum plicata overlay at the center. The style arms echo the plum hue, edged in buff for added dimension. Falls are buff-tan, intricately veined and stitched in plum, with the pattern intensifying at the edge for a graphic, high-contrast effect. The beard glows with golden yellow bases and red-brown tips, while a slight spicy fragrance adds sensory appeal. Parentage unknown.
