Cloud Ballet

Cloud Ballet (Lyle E. Fort, 1990) is a tall bearded iris reaching 34" (86 cm), introduced by Fort Iris. This midseason bloomer features elegantly ruffled and heavily laced standards and falls in a pale blue-white hue, each edged with a medium blue that adds depth and dimension. The white beard and slight sweet fragrance enhance its refined presence in the garden. Bred from (Playgirl x Portrait Of Larrie) X Brides Halo, Cloud Ballet has received both a High Commendation (1989) and Honorable Mention (1993) from the American Iris Society. When a Guardian Garden variety is offered, it reflects that a sustainable stock level has finally been reached within our collection; availability remains intentionally limited to protect the cultivar’s future.
