Clean Energy (Keith Keppel, 2017) is a tall bearded iris reaching 40" (102 cm), blooming in the late midseason. This refined variety features pinard yellow standards and style arms, with falls in a luminous lemon white, accented by aureolin hafts and a subtle ¼" edge suffused with light lemon. The beards transition from chrome yellow in the throat to yellow in the middle, finishing in white at the ends. Bred from a complex lineage including Strawberry Shake, Clean Energy was introduced by Keppel in 2018 and received an Honorable Mention from the American Iris Society in 2021.
