Circus Stripes

Circus Stripes (Gordon Plough, 1975) is a remarkable tall bearded iris that commands attention with its bold, graphic patterning and vibrant color contrast. Reaching 30" (76 cm) and blooming midseason, this cultivar features luminous white standards edged and veined in campanula violet, with the color intensifying at the tips. The falls are crisp white, dramatically overlaid with campanula violet veining, and accented by a white to yellow beard. With its pedigree from Winners Circle and a sibling cross, Circus Stripes is a medal-worthy, exhibition-grade iris introduced by Eden Road in 1976 and honored with an AIS Honorable Mention in 1978.
