Cherry Coffee

Cherry Coffee (Elizabeth Rieniets, R. 2012) is a remarkable tall bearded iris that commands attention with its bold, high-contrast color palette and dramatic form. Reaching 22" (56 cm) and blooming late in the season, this garden-showpiece features tightly closed standards in deep black-cherry, complemented by vivid red style arms. The falls are saturated black coffee, accented by rich red shoulders and dramatic dark yellow lines at the hafts, while the beards glow with orchid bases and dark gold tips. With its singular, painterly coloration and commanding presence, Cherry Coffee is a collector-grade addition for any iris enthusiast or landscape designer. Parentage unknown.
