Champion Bloodlines (Patricia McNeal, 2018) is a commanding tall bearded iris, reaching 40" and blooming early to midseason. This gallery-worthy cultivar features light peach-goldenrod standards with a slightly ruffled, serrated edge, and goldenrod style arms. The falls are light goldenrod, deepening toward the edge with a narrow, lighter rim and dramatic maroon veining that stops just short of the border. A white blaze surrounds the beard, accented by a light goldenrod dart extending toward the edge. The beards themselves are a vibrant gradient: orange in the throat, cadmium yellow-orange in the middle, and goldenrod at the tip. With its pedigree from Hindenburg X Pirate Ahoy, Champion Bloodlines is a medal-worthy, exhibition-grade iris—recognized with an Exhibition Certificate in 2018 and Honorable Mention in 2022.
