Center Line

Center Line (Thomas Johnson, 2011) is a tall bearded iris reaching 32" (83 cm) and blooming in midseason. This award-winning variety features cameo pink standards that lighten toward the edges, complemented by matching style arms. The falls are a pale pink-cream, dramatically accented by a red-violet wash and dark red-purple veining that extends over two-thirds of the center. Vibrant orange-red beards and ruffled petals add further visual interest, while a slight fragrance enhances its garden appeal. Center Line is a result of the cross Candy Clouds x Painters Touch, introduced by Mid-America Gardens in 2011, and has received both an Honorable Mention (2013) and Award of Merit (2015) from the American Iris Society.
