Carnival Of Color (Paul Black, 2009) is a tall bearded iris reaching 35" (89 cm), blooming early to midseason. This variety features standards with a cream base, blushed metallic pink at the center, fading to paler tones and edged with rich tan-butter, accented by fine dark pink veining. The style arms are pale cream-white with medium peach highlights. Falls display a pale cream-white center, heavily veined tan brown hafts with a wide gold-peach margin, and a medium metallic peach sheen over the center, veined and washed with dark violet. Beards are minimal white tipped with medium orange. The blooms are ruffled and emit a pronounced sweet fragrance. Hybridized by Paul Black from City Of Gold x Conjuring Cat, introduced by Mid-America in 2009, and awarded Honorable Mention in 2011. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm.
