Cardiac Kid

Cardiac Kid (Hugh Stout, 2022) is a remarkable intermediate bearded iris reaching 25" (64 cm), blooming early to midseason. This captivating variety features misty rose pink standards and style arms, with matching falls that lighten at the center and display flax yellow veining at the hafts. The beard is a showpiece itself—light violet at the base with orange tips, crowned by long, wide flounces that transition from lime yellow at the center to cream and misty rose pink, finishing with lemon chiffon to jasmine yellow on the outer flounce. Cardiac Kid is further distinguished by its pronounced sweet fragrance, making it a memorable addition to any garden. With its dynamic color play and sculptural form, this iris is a true garden-showpiece and a collector-grade selection from Stout Gardens’ 2022 introductions. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm.
