Reaching 30" (76 cm) and blooming from midseason to late, this cultivar features luminous standards in lemon orange sherbet edged with pale gold, complemented by style arms with a deeper midrib. The falls showcase a pale lemon center with dramatic darker veining and a pale gold edge, anchored by vivid orange beards and a signature 1" fuzzy orange sherbet horn. Its ruffled petals and slight sweet fragrance add to its exhibition-grade allure. Bred from 'Skating Party' crossed with either 'Almond Parfait' or 'Moon Mistress', Capricious Candles was introduced by Woodland in 2000 and honored with an Honorable Mention in 2004.
