This variety features rich red-purple standards (RHS 71A) and matching falls with a grayed purple (187B) overlay, complemented by a vivid violet beard. Bred from ‘Regards’ x ‘Cherry Garden’, ‘Candy Apple’ has earned multiple accolades, including High Commendation (1971), Honorable Mention (1973), Judge’s Choice (1973, 1974), and the Award of Merit (1975).
