Camera Ready

Camera Ready (Richard Tasco, 2009) is a commanding tall bearded iris that lives up to its name with a gallery-worthy presence in the garden. Reaching 40" (102 cm) and blooming midseason, this award-winning cultivar features bronze-yellow standards that lighten toward the midrib, delicately dotted in the center, and buttercup yellow style arms with a lightly fringed finish. The falls showcase a luminous Indian yellow ground, lightening near the beard, with dramatic burgundy-brown sanding intensifying toward the edge and a thin burgundy-brown center line. Golden yellow beards transition to a light sandy-brown at the end, while the lightly ruffled petals and very light purple-based foliage add to its painterly appeal. With a slight fragrance and a pedigree that includes Ostentatious, Splashacata, and Tanzanian Tangerine, Camera Ready is a medal-worthy, conversation-starting centerpiece for any collector or show garden. Honored with an Honorable Mention in 2011 and an Award of Merit in 2013. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm. Attributes: Edge Trim, Fragrant, Ruffled, Speckled Awards: Award of Merit, Honorable Mention
