By The Sea

By The Sea (Paul Black, 2021) is a dazzling SDB iris that delivers a gallery-worthy impact in any garden. This 15" early to midseason gem features luminous white standards and style arms, dramatically contrasted by deep indigo blue falls. The falls are punctuated with crisp white darts along the beard, while the beards themselves transition from light yellow in the throat and middle to pristine white at the tips. A gentle, sweet fragrance adds a refined touch to its already captivating presence. With its vivid, high-contrast palette and sculptural form, By The Sea is a collector-grade bloom with a prestigious pedigree, honored with an AIS Honorable Mention in 2024. A true showpiece for the discerning gardener, available at Amethyst Creek Farm. Attributes: Veining Awards: Honorable Mention
