Broadband

Broadband (Richard Tasco, 2001) is a tall bearded iris reaching 35" (89 cm), introduced by Superstition in 2002. This early midseason bloomer features light grape standards and grape style arms edged in tan, with falls displaying a crisp white ground and a wide, dramatic dark grape plicata band. The beards are violet with a yellow throat, and the blooms are notably ruffled and emit a pronounced sweet fragrance. Bred from Splashacata X Change Of Pace, Broadband has received both the Honorable Mention (2004) and Award of Merit (2006) from the American Iris Society. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm.
