Brilliant Idea

Brilliant Idea (Keith Keppel, 2008) is a tall bearded iris reaching 36" (91 cm) with a midseason bloom. This award-winning variety features blue-white standards and white style arms faintly edged in pale blue. The falls are pure white, elegantly bordered with a 1/2" to 1" band of columbine blue, creating a refined contrast. Bright yellow beards, deeper than golden glow, add a vivid accent. Bred from Gypsy Lord and a select seedling, Brilliant Idea is recognized for its large, showy blooms and has earned both the Honorable Mention (2011) and Award of Merit (2013).
