Break In

Break In (Paul Black, 2019) is a gallery-worthy Tall Bearded iris that delivers a truly unforgettable visual experience. Towering at 37" (94 cm), this midseason to late bloomer features luminous white standards unpredictably splashed with mid red-violet, complemented by palest lilac style arms and laced crests streaked with mid brown for a refined, sculptural effect. The falls showcase a dramatic transition from a white center to rich cantaloupe, intricately lined and streaked with mid red-purple, creating a dynamic, graphic masterpiece. Vivid tangerine-tipped, white-based beards add a bold accent, while a subtle musky fragrance enhances its allure. As a sibling to 'I Broke It' and recipient of an AIS Honorable Mention in 2023, Break In is a collector-grade, conversation-starting showpiece—perfect for those seeking a singular, field-stopping bloom for their landscape.
