Braggadocio

Braggadocio (Keith Keppel, 1996) is a tall bearded iris reaching 30" (76 cm), blooming from midseason to late. This award-winning variety features honey beige standards and golden beige style arms, with a delicate lavender flush at the center. The falls display a sophisticated blend of dahlia purple and port wine, transitioning to a plum-hued center and finished with an old mauve rim. Dark burnt orange beards add a bold accent to the lightly ruffled petals. Braggadocio offers a slight sweet fragrance and has earned both the Honorable Mention (1999) and Award of Merit (2001) from the American Iris Society. Available from Amethyst Creek Farm.
