Born Beautiful

Born Beautiful (Paul Black, 1991) is a tall bearded iris reaching 37" (94 cm), blooming in the late midseason. This elegant variety features violet blue standards (RHS 92B to 87B at rib) and violet falls (87A) with a smoky flesh violet rim. The style arms are yellow orange, delicately edged in violet, while the beards are orange tipped with blue at the end. The blooms are ruffled and laced, exuding a slight musky fragrance. Bred from 'Adventuress' x 'Undersea Adventure', Born Beautiful received a High Commendation in 1989. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm.
