This cultivar features a luminous light blue self with a bluish white beard, creating a vivid, painterly effect in the garden. With a pedigree from 'Great Lakes' and 'April Morn', Blue Denim is a medal-worthy, exhibition-grade iris that has earned the Honorable Mention (1959), Cook-Douglas Award (1963), and Cook-Douglas Medal (1966).
