Blind Ambition

Blind Ambition (Keith Keppel, 2015) is a tall bearded iris reaching 38" (97 cm) and blooming in midseason. This award-winning variety features martius yellow standards with a paler center, reed yellow style arms, and crests. The falls are a refined oyster white, accented by a distinct ¼" martius yellow band at the distal end and hafts suffused with sulphur yellow. The beards are primrose yellow in the throat and middle, transitioning to blue at the end. Bred from Silk Road and a Friendly Advice sibling, Blind Ambition has received both the Honorable Mention (2018) and Award of Merit (2021) from the American Iris Society.
