Beyond Borders

Beyond Borders (Richard Tasco, 2012) is a tall bearded iris reaching 35" (89 cm) with early midseason bloom. This award-winning variety features cold white standards and style arms, accented by a subtle violet flush near the crest and a delicate maize tint at the top of the fringed crest. The falls are cold white with a broad, mottled violet-blue (RHS 89C) rim that intensifies to near solid at the edge, complemented by light burgundy veining near the beard. The beard itself is white-based with saffron yellow (21A) tips. Moderately ruffled petals add texture and elegance. Beyond Borders is a result of the cross Gypsy Glitter X Queens Circle, introduced by Superstition in 2012, and has received both the Honorable Mention (2014) and Award of Merit (2016) from the American Iris Society.
