Bewilderbeast

Bewilderbeast (Brad Kasperek, 1994) is a truly singular Tall Bearded Iris, celebrated for its extraordinary painterly pattern and dynamic color play. Reaching 30" (76 cm) and blooming midseason, this novelty iris features standards streaked in light mauve (RHS 61A) and silver white (155C), while the falls are a deep mauve dramatically streaked with silver white and accented by sunshine yellow shoulders veined in mauve. Golden brown beards and lightly ruffled, laced edges add a refined, sculptural touch. With a slight fragrance and a pedigree from 'Tiger Honey' X 'Rustic Dance', Bewilderbeast is a gallery-worthy, conversation-starting centerpiece for collectors and enthusiasts. Honored with an Honorable Mention in 1997 and an Award of Merit in 1999, this field-stopping iris is available at Amethyst Creek Farm.
