Better Than Butter

Better Than Butter (Paul Black, 2010) is a tall bearded iris reaching 41" (104 cm), blooming from early to late season. This award-winning variety features elegant white standards edged with narrow, bright yellow bands and white style arms accented by yellow crests. The falls display a light to medium yellow hue that deepens toward the edge, finished with a subtle muted gold band. Beards are pale yellow at the base, tipped with light tangerine, and the blooms offer a slight musky fragrance. Bred from Jersey Bounce X seedling K142A (Secret Admirer x Chiffon Ruffles), Better Than Butter received an Honorable Mention in 2012 and an Award of Merit in 2014. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm.
