Bernice's Legacy

‘Bernice’s Legacy’ (Miller, 2000) is a tall bearded iris reaching 32" (81 cm), introduced by Richard Richards. This variety is notable for its extended bloom season, flowering early, midseason, late, and offering reliable rebloom. The standards are a rich garnet (RHS 182A), complemented by greyed orange style arms with oxblood midribs. Falls are deep garnet (180A) with brown hafts and subtle markings, while the beards glow bronze yellow (163A). Parentage is unknown. ‘Bernice’s Legacy’ has demonstrated rebloom performance in multiple states and is suitable for USDA Zones 4–9. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm.
