Beau Taux (Hugh Stout, 2018) is a memorable Tall Bearded iris that commands attention with its painterly blend of colors and refined form. Reaching 36" (91 cm) and blooming in the early midseason, this cultivar features cream standards edged and veined in lemon chiffon, complemented by aureolin yellow style arms. The falls are a radiant jonquil yellow, elegantly trimmed in light cream and accented with bronze veining at the shoulders. Its beards transition from amber gold in the throat to a dramatic mix of plum and amber, finishing in light plum with distinctive horns. A subtle sweet fragrance adds to its allure.
