Battle Of The Bands (Michael Sutton, 2011) is a tall bearded iris reaching 34" (86 cm), notable for its early to midseason bloom and reliable reblooming habit. This variety features bright yellow standards with a delicate white edge veined in yellow, complemented by yellow style arms and a pale cream edge. The falls are a rich red-purple (RHS 59C) with deeper infusion, highlighted by a white area around the beards that blends into a 1/4" violet-blue band on the upper half and a 1/4" yellow-brown band on the lower half. Vibrant yellow beards and ruffled petals add to its visual appeal, while a pronounced sweet fragrance enhances the garden experience. Battle Of The Bands was awarded an Honorable Mention by the American Iris Society in 2013. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm.
