‘Barbara Jean’ (Ronald Mullin, 2004) is a tall bearded iris reaching 35" (89 cm), blooming in the early midseason. This elegant variety features silvery medium blue self-colored blooms, with falls accented by a delicate magenta crescent at the base of the inky blue-black beards. Bred from ‘Southern Thunder’ x ‘Continuity’, ‘Barbara Jean’ has received multiple accolades, including the Honorable Mention (2007), President’s Cup (2007), Favorite Guest (2007), and Award of Merit (2009).
