This 22" (56 cm) iris blooms from early to late season, showcasing vivid cobalt blue (HCC 44/3) self-colored standards and falls, complemented by a gentian blue (42/1) beard. Its complex parentage includes Charmed Circle and several notable seedlings, contributing to its refined form and vibrant color. Az Ap has earned multiple accolades, including the Honorable Mention (1982), Award of Merit (1984), and the prestigious Sass Medal (1987), as well as recognition as a Favorite Guest in 1982 and 1984.
