Apple Crisp

Apple Crisp (Paul Black, 2014) is an award-winning intermediate bearded iris, reaching 26" (66 cm) in height and blooming from midseason to late. This variety features mid-gold standards with a mid garnet wash at the center and a yellow-gold rim, complemented by mid gold style arms. The falls display a mid gold base with mid brown-tan veining and a mid yellow patch below the gold beards, while the remainder is heavily washed garnet in the center, lightening toward a mid yellow rim. Notable for its pronounced spicy fragrance, Apple Crisp is the result of a thoughtful cross involving 'High Master', 'Key To Success', and 'Love Spell'.
