Afternoon Tea

Afternoon Tea (Linda Mann, 2016) is a tall bearded iris reaching 36" (91 cm) and blooming in the midseason to late period. This variety features elegant standards in pale greyed cream-lavender with a yellow flush at the base and center, complemented by a pale lavender reverse. The style arms are pale lavender with light yellow crests and edges. Falls are pale greyed cream-lavender, edged with a narrow light yellow rim, and display a large, irregular brown wash streaked with bright lavender and yellow, accented by slightly iridescent dark brown veins around the beard. The beards are white tipped gold in the throat and middle, with sparse brown ends. Afternoon Tea is ruffled and presents a sophisticated, multi-tonal palette. Hybridized from Final Episode X seedling 04-TM-1re (Tea Leaves x Matrix), it was awarded an Honorable Mention in 2023. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm.
