Afterlife (Marky Smith, 2012) is a tall bearded iris reaching 37" (94 cm), notable for its early to late bloom season and pronounced spicy fragrance. This variety features ice white standards with a lilac midrib that fades to white, complemented by pale style arms edged in lilac. The falls display a medium violet hue, intricately veined with lighter tones and finished with lavender rims and cream feathering around the beards. The beards themselves are a vivid vermillion red, tipped with cream at the ends. Heavily ruffled and impressively large, Afterlife is a showy addition to any garden.
