Action Packed

Action Packed (Paul Black, 2011) is a tall bearded iris reaching 36" (91 cm), blooming from midseason to very late. This award-winning variety features standards washed in light tan-gold with prominent medium wine veining and a medium wine rim, transitioning to a whiter interior. Lower style arms are light tan-gold with a violet ridge and an upper crest of wine, accented by alternating wine and gold stripes below. The falls are a rich, velvety purple-black, highlighted by beards with a violet base and orange-tipped hairs, surrounded by white rays. Action Packed is a result of a thoughtful cross involving Magic Masquerade, Sensual Elegance, Romantic Evening, and Snowed In.
